How To Install Replace Side Rear View Mirror Jeep Grand Cherokee 99-04 1AAuto.com
www.1aauto.com 1A Auto shows you how to repair, install, fix, change or replace a broken, smashed, cracked, or shattered rear side view mirror. This video is applicable to 1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee models.
You may want to see if there’s something that could be bent and hitting the door panel when you put it back on the door.
Great video! I followed the steps and everything went well. I’m having problems with the door lock though, the button is stuck. I remove the door panel and everything works fine. I put the panel back on and the button doesn’t move. Have you run into this problem before? I cannot see anything that would obstruct the functionality of the door lock. Help me open my eyes.
Some of the basic steps that need to be taken may be similar. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
Would the process be the same for a 2005 Jeep Liberty power side view mirror?
Thanks for checking us out. Have a great day! 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
The steps should be the same. Not sure if the vehicle is pre-wired from the factory with the heat option. You may want to check with the dealer on enabling that option.
Great Video, thanks. If I wanted to switch out my power mirrors on this exact vehicle to power heated mirrors, are there any additional steps? Is the wire harness in the vehicle already wired for the heater?
Thanks!
Thanks for the help on installing the mirror. I found one for ninety dollars but then I seen your video and whent to your web site and got The same one for 45 bucks. I really appreciate it.
It should be located just above the oil filter. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
Where is the oil pressure switch on the 4.7, 2001 grand.?….Also how hard is it to change the brake booster on the same model ???? It makes a loud growl when pressed….

If it’s a mirror that you have purchased from us our sales staff can help you out with your issue. If it’s not a mirror from us, our mirrors should match the original specs. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
Hi, I saw you video I follow what u said, but the new mirror is short, and also I notice the length of the wire is just 10”, Do you know where I can find out the original, because the most seller that have the mirror is the same length of the wire 10”
From 99-2004 share the same door and the 98 and below would be different.
I bought a replacement unit for my ’04 Jeep. Wire lengths were half the distance and couldn’t install. Seller said “auto dim” was the culprit, but box said ’97-01, and I ordered 99-04. Is this guy telling the truth? Would the 97-01 have fit if I hadn’t had “auto dim”?

We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows you how to replace the side view mirror on a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee. We do carry the replacement mirrors for them on our website 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
Do you have a video for doing this on a 95 Grand Cherokee
Unfortunately we do not have that vehicle available to us at this time so the video would not be able to be made for awhile but we will make a note of it for a future video.
do you have a video for 2010 Jeep GC?
Thanks for this! Same thing here. On the rubber grommet - I just cut the tubing off of it, then cut out the center of the nipple where I could still use it and fit the plug through it, worked just fine. One other thing to mention – get some extra yellow door panel clips in advance. I broke one pulling the door off…you may have to pry some out of the door too. Also, you don’t need to disconnect the door latch and window rods, extra un-necessary step.
no problem at all. Thanks for watching. Have a great day! 1aauto.com
Thank you so much for this video. You just saved me some money.
Wish me luck, my mirror is on it’s way from 1AAuto.com! Thanks for the help
