MPG is about the driver to some point but it’s also about the machine. Hop on Fuelly and check out some cars. Subaru 2012 Impreza average MPG is 28MPG with users hitting as low as 21MPG and as high as 35MPG.
Versus a 1999 Honda Civic, average is 31.2MPG and ranges from 17MPG to 44MPG.
Versus a 2012 Prius, average is 49.3MPG and ranges from 40MPG to 60MPG.
Ford is saying that they will pwn Toyota with the 2013 Fusion and C-max 2013 Hybrids, hopefully Ford will make an AWD version to beat Subaru.

Koreans are very insolent! Already patented wheel drive system began to steal and to introduce into their new candy wrappers wrapped fake! Do not buy fake Korean cars! Shame on them! In addition, this center of gravity above junk.

  • alvastornado says:

What is best? Diesel or Petrol engine?.. is the Diesel noisy?

  • wtrdogg20 says:

Yes. because it is designed to save gas. The point is not that it just send power to the rear wheels when needed, the point is how fast it does it, and it does it really fast. Besides that, in models like the Tiguan, Touareg or Amarok Off Road versions, the 4Motion has a lock system with low range mode to send power to all wheels in the proper way fo off roading. That is not a simple system like in a Hyundai Tucson.

  • TheEuroperules says:

4motion is a joke. Its front wheel and when loose tracion then it send power to the rear.

  • danwat1234 says:

    or Subaru’s bad MPG

  • danwat1234 says:

But I thought the Kia Sportage was FWD by default so it can get good fuel economy.

  • wtrdogg20 says:

    Yeah, thats right.
I think the only system closer to that is the VW 4Motion and the Audi Quattro last generation.

  • hwarangitf says:

BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA… Anything like Subaru’s Symmetrical AWD.

  • hwarangitf says:

Actually, the “Subaru Symmetrical AWD” system is patented and is the only one maker that can use it. Some other manufactures want it but can’t get it, just like GM and Toyota. That’s complex.

In the other hand, think that Subaru has been continuously develop their system for 40 years, so you cant wait that a system developed on 3 o 2 years can compare whit the Subaru’s performance.

    See ya!.

  • gwmkwan says:

    3:37 just impressed me
We all know Audi & Toyota fail this test

  • hamzaaliarshad says:

    ur late!!!

  • wtrdogg20 says:

Why other car makers cant create a system similar to the Symetrical AWD from Subaru?…is there any kind of monopoly or limitation???
Damn!, I cant believe Subaru is the only one able to make a system that can send all the power to one wheel with traction, and no body else in the market has been able to design something similar.
All the AWD system in the market besides Symetrical AWD work like the same, some worse than others.

  • TheEuroperules says:

True awd is subaruuu.Audi Depends on the model

  • kwtblack2 says:

i had test drive and its awd antl it reach to 80km/h then it goes front wheel . but the car was so smooth on the road

This video doesn’t tell all the truth.. U can actually lock the diff in Kia’s AWD-system, and makes it the only real AWD-system with Subaru out there. Audi doesn’t have difdlock? But only con in this Kia system is that the max speed with difflock turned on is 40kph

Wow sounds like this DynaMax drive train does everything from preventing over heating to improving gas milage to predicting the road conditions (i.e. predicting the future?). For anyone who believes any of that I have some magic dust I’ll sell to you really cheap…..it makes anything you sprinkle it onto fly. ;) Subaru and Audi have the only “true AWD” systems out there, sorry Kia but you’ll have to take your cheaply built cars and magic AWD else where.

I TELL U WHAT IF THEY PUT A UNICORN WITH A ” K ” SIGN ON IT , THE LOGO WILL SELL LIKE HOT CHOCOLATES . THUMBS UP FOR ME IF U AGREE ON ME . I GUESS I SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE MARKETING MANAGER FOR KIA . EVEN IF U HAVE ALL THE GIZMOS OF A FERRARI OR AUDI OR HONDA IN THE WORLD IN KIA . IT WILL NOT SELL BCOZ OF THE SICK BADGE . IT MAKES ONE FEEL LIKE A DOUCHE BAG . IF IT HAD A UNICORN BADGE WITH K WRITTEN ON IT NEXT TO A CHIVALRIOUS KNIGHT . I WILL BUY THE KIA . IT GIVES A SECURITY , MALE CHAUVANISM

  • leondevargas says:

Is this Dynamax also available for the Kia Sorento ?
